Liebe möglicherweise (2016)

The photographer Roland and his girlfriend, the actress Leila, meet Roland’s old friend Michael in a café. Michael falls in love with Leila. After an evening performance, he looks for her and finds her in a bar near her theater, and they begin an affair. However, Michael is married to Monika, a doctor who is unhappy with her husband’s emotional distance. She grows closer to Roland, and after a physical altercation in a café, Michael is thrown out of the apartment, even though he hopes for a fresh start. A visit to his elderly aunt in Italy, which Michael makes with his daughter Viktoria, does nothing to change things. Meanwhile, Roland has to look after his lonely father, Walter, who, since his wife’s death, has repeatedly and unsuccessfully searched for ways to follow her in death. After some thought about firearms, Walter drops dead. Fourteen-year-old Martin is one of Monika’s patients. He is in mortal danger after a traffic accident, and his mother fears for his life. Mamadou, a hospital visitor, devotes himself lovingly to Martin’s mother; he later turns out to be a store security guard. He had chased Martin after a theft, which led to the accident. In despair, Martin’s mother rebuffs him.
