Full plot (contains spoilers)
The film depicts ordinary events unfolding around Uğur, a strong-willed sex worker; Bekir, a man obsessed with her; Çilem, who was born deaf and mute because her mother was beaten while pregnant; and Yusuf, a purposeless man recently released from prison. Their lives intersect at a rundown boarding house in Basmane. The film’s “countryside scene” and “fight at the boarding house” are its most prominent scenes. As of 2006, director Zeki Demirkubuz had made Fate, which could be considered the beginning of Innocence. Fate tells of what Uğur and Bekir experienced in their youth and how they met.
