Addio al nubilato (2021)

Linda, Eleonora, Vanessa, and Akiko, friends since high school, reunite in Rome to celebrate the bachelorette party of their best friend, Chiara, who moved to San Francisco some time ago. However, the bride-to-be fails to show up at the meeting place, leaving behind clues that send the four friends around the city on a special treasure hunt. Along the way, they are accompanied by various characters, including Chiara’s supposed driver, Adrian (whom the women rename “Ambrogio”). At the end of an adventure full of twists and revelations about one another’s lives, the four friends find themselves in the cemetery they used to visit when they were young. There, however, they discover Chiara’s grave: she died of cancer two months earlier, exactly the day after Adrian proposed to her in a San Francisco hospital. The women then realize that the bachelorette party and treasure hunt, arranged by Chiara herself with her husband before she died, were merely an excuse to reunite them and celebrate the life of their dearest friend together.
