A chaotic school’s promised change turns into a role swap when three incoming teachers encounter three escapees from a mental institution.
The story
Chaos reigns at a secondary school, where three new teachers are expected to bring change. They encounter three people who have escaped from a mental institution, and the roles are exchanged: the teachers end up in the institution while the escapees take their places as teachers. The switch comes just as the chief school inspector is due to visit. The school’s other staff and a romance between Jürgen and Karin, a kitchen assistant, add to the surrounding commotion.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Chaos reigns at the secondary school, but that is soon supposed to change, as three new teachers are already on their way. However, the three teachers run into three crazies who have escaped from a mental institution. The roles are promptly exchanged: the three teachers end up in the institution, while the three crazies take their places as teachers at the school—just as the chief school inspector is due to visit. Meanwhile, a gay PE teacher, a drunkard of a principal, a horny, elderly French teacher, and a sadistic caretaker who belongs in the madhouse himself make a fuss around the romance between Jürgen and Karin, the kitchen assistant. On top of that, the songs “Polonäse Blankenese” and “The Duck Dance” can be heard constantly, making the crazies even crazier. Chaos is inevitable.
