The story

Erna Mischke tries to help settle their dispute, but a parking ticket also strains her relationship with Maxe. She had nearly chosen him to play the Captain of Köpenick in a parade for Berlin’s 750th anniversary; now she wants Fritz for the part, leaving Maxe furious. Meanwhile, Maxe’s married grandson Jens, who has twins with Constanze, is jealous of Udo, Fritz’s son, and suspects Udo has feelings for Constanze. The twins’ school enrollment celebration is approaching.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Maxe Baumann has a younger brother, Fritz. The two are completely at odds and are supposed to finally make peace. Burying the hatchet is no easy matter, since the family feud has been going on for several years, if not decades. Everything is made even more difficult by Erna Mischke, who once again wants to get involved in settling the dispute. A parking ticket for illegal parking also drives Maxe and Erna apart. Erna had almost chosen him for the parade celebrating Berlin’s 750th anniversary: he was to play the Captain of Köpenick. But instead of Maxe, she now wants his brother Fritz Baumann for the role. This makes Maxe furious. He can’t just let something like that go. Meanwhile, Maxe Baumann’s grandson Jens Baumann, who is now married to Constanze and has twins with her, has entirely different family problems. He is extremely jealous of Udo Baumann, Fritz Baumann’s son. He suspects Udo of being in love with Constanze. He can also imagine that something more is going on between the two of them. The twins’ school enrollment ceremony and celebration are also coming up. But things go badly even before the event: behind Jens Baumann’s back, Constanze secretly invites Udo to the school celebration as well. Jens is naturally not at all pleased and gets furious when he finds out. The family relations improve again later, however, and in the end all the disputes are settled, allowing the family to celebrate the twins’ school enrollment and Berlin’s 750th anniversary in peace.
